TWO CHILLICOTHE MEN ARRESTED FOR FAILING TO REGISTER AS SEX OFFENDERS

THE LIVINGSTON COUNTY SHERIFFS OFFICE SAYS TWO CHILLICOTHE MEN, WHO ARE CONVICTED SEX OFFENDERS, WERE ARRESTED WEDNESDAY FOR NOT PROPERLY REGISTERING THEIR ADDRESSES WITH AUTHORITIES.

ON WEDNESDAY MORNING OFFICERS WITH THE LIVINGSTON COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE AND MISSOURI STATE HIGHWAY PATROL EXECUTED A SEARCH WARRANT AT A LOCATION IN THE 100 BLOCK OF ST. PAUL STREET IN CHILLICOTHE. THAT WARRANT LED TO THE SEIZURE OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA AND AN UNKNOWN SUBSTANCE THAT WILL BE TESTED BY THE HIGHWAY PATROL’S CRIME LAB.

THAT INVESTIGATION LED OFFICERS TO A SECOND LOCATION IN THE 100 BLOCK OF EAST HERRIMAN WHERE OFFICERS ARRESTED 54-YEAR-OLD DAVID EDWARD WHITE FOR ALLEGED FAILING TO REGISTER AS A SEX OFFENDER AND WAS FOUND TO ALLEGEDLY BE IN UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF ALPRAZOLAM WHICH IS A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE.

WHITE WAS BOOKED INTO THE DAVIESS-DEKALB COUNTY JAIL AND FORMALLY CHARGED WITH CLASS E FELONY FAILURE TO REGISTER AS A SEX OFFENDER AND CLASS D FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE. BOND WAS SET AT $10,000 CASH.

A SECOND INVESTIGATION WEDNESDAY LED TO THE ARREST OF 57-YEAR-OLD CHILLICOTHE RESIDENT THOMAS LEON MIDGYETTE.

MIDGYETTE IS ACCUSED OF FAILING TO REPORT A CHANGE OF ADDRESS AND WAS SINCE RESIDING IN PUBLIC HOUSING AND IN CLOSE PROXIMITY TO A SCHOOL/DAY CARE. HE WAS BOOKED INTO THE DAVIESS-DEKALB REGIONAL JAIL AND HAS BEEN CHARGED WITH CLASS E FELONY OF FAILING TO REGISTER. HIS BOND WAS SET AT $5,000 CASH.
