IOWA MAN INJURED IN I-35 ACCIDENT TUESDAY

A DES MONIES MAN WAS INJURED IN A TUESDAY AFTERNOON ACCIDENT IN HARRISON COUNTY.

THE MISSOURI STATE HIGHWAY PATROL SAYS THE ACCIDENT OCCURRED ON I-35, ABOUT FOUR MILES NORTH OF BETHANY, WHEN A VEHICLE DRIVEN BY 49-YEAR-OLD DES MONIES, IOWA RESIDENT KIMBERLY M. BURCH WAS HEADING SOUTH.

TROOPERS SAY BURCH’S PICKUP TRUCK WENT OFF THE LEFT SIDE OF THE ROAD, INTO THE MEDIAN, AND OVERTURNED.

A PASSENGER IN THE PICKUP, 65-YEAR-OLD HERMAN J. CLARK, SUFFERED SERIOUS INJURIES AND WAS TAKEN TO HARRISON COUNTY COMMUNITY HOSPITAL FOR TREATMENT.

BURCH WAS NOT INJURED IN THE ACCIDENT.

TROOPERS SAY BOTH BURCH AND CLARK WERE WEARING SEAT BELTS AT THE TIME OF THE ACCIDENT.
