On Saturday May 19th approximately 25 volunteers from the Bethany Fire Department and students from NTA EMS Rescue participated in vehicle extrication training. The event began in the class room at NTA EMS and continued behind MFA for the hands on training. Participants were trained on the Jaws of Life, vehicle glass breaking tools, cribbing, shoring, pneumatic tools, compressed air, air knife/air vacuum, pneumatic cut-off tool, proper apparatus positioning, scene safety considerations, evaluating the need for extrication, and back boarding patients. Training exercise sponsored by Bethany Fire Department.
