SIMPLE DIVINITY VIRGINIA

1 1/2 CUPS SUGAR

1/3 CUP WATER

DASH SALT

1 TSP VANILLA

COMBINE AND BRING TO BOIL FOR 3 MINUTES

REMOVE FROM BURNER

ADD 1 PINT MARSHMALLOW CREAM AND MIX WELL

DROP BY TSP ON COOKIE SHEET

MAPLE FUDGE

1 cup sugar

1 cup brown sugar

2 teaspoons vinegar

1/2 cup 100% pure maple syrup

few drops of Mapleine maple flavor (optional)

1/2 cup water

COMBINE INGREDIENTS

Place over medium heat and boil slowly, washing down sides of pan often. Cover with lid for one minute. Cook to 228°F. Cool in pan.

When cool (110°F), beat until it loses its gloss and becomes creamy. Add maple flavoring to taste, if desired, and 1/2 cup chopped nuts.

Pour into a buttered 8 inch square pan. Allow to cool until set.

MAPLE FUDGE

2 cups sugar

1 cup maple sugar

2 tablespoons corn syrup

1 cup cream

1 teaspoon butter

1 cup shredded coconut

1 cup nuts

Cook sugar, syrup, cream, and butter to soft-ball stage, 238° F. Remove from heat, and add flavoring. Cook and beat until creamy. Add nuts, pour out on buttered pan, and mark off in squares

OLD-FASHIONED DIVINITY

3 c. sugar

1/2 c. water

2 well beaten egg whites

1/2 c. white Karo syrup

1 tsp. vanilla

In saucepan boil the sugar, water and syrup over a medium heat until it reaches the soft ball stage. That is when you drop a little syrup in cold water, it will then form a soft ball.

While you are cooking the syrup to a soft ball stage, have the mixer beating the egg whites until they are stiff. Pour half the syrup into the stiffly beaten egg whites. Keep boiling the rest of the syrup until when a spoon full is dropped back into the pan it will form a small long line of crackling sugar and water.

Pour rest of syrup into egg mixture and continue beating until the candy stands up in peaks. Put on wax paper by the spoonfuls. You may color the divinity if you wish to make it appetizing.

PEANUT BUTTER FUDGE ALICE

1 CUP BROWN SUGAR

1 CUP SUGAR

1/2 CUP MILK

1/2 CUP DARK CORN SYRUP

COMBINE AND BRING TO HARD BOIL STAGE

ADD 1/2 CUP PEANUT BUTTER

2 TBP BUTTER

1 TSP VANILLA

BEAT UNTIL LOSES THE GLOSS AND BECOMES CREAMY

POUR INTO A BUTTERED 8X8 OR 9X9 PAN

 

PEANUT BUTTER FUDGE VIRGINIA

2/3 CUP MILK

1 TSP VANILLA

1 CUP MARSHMALLOW CREME

1 CUP PEANUT BUTTER

COMBINE SUGAR AND MILK AND BRING TO SOFT BOIL (230)

REMOVE FROM HEAT AND ADD REMAINING INGREDIENTS

MIX WELL

POUR INTO A BUTTERED SHEET PAN AND ALLOW TO SET
