The state has announced a new 22 million dollar grant program for Missouri 501(c)(3) nonprofits responding to COVID-19, excluding hospitals, schools and animal charities.
Funds can be used to cover hazard pay for direct health care workers, leasing additional space for social distancing, testing costs, payroll and supply expenses. The maximum grant request is initially limited to 250,000 dollars.
The Missouri Department of Economic Development is now accepting applications online during two different rounds depending on the nonprofit’s specialty.
