25 New Patrol Troopers Ready To Graduate Academy Friday

A class of 25 new Highway Patrol Troopers are set to graduate from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy on Friday, June 24.

That class includes two listening area individuals and three new troopers that will be patrolling in our area.

The 113th Recruit Class reported to the Academy on January 18, to begin the 25-week training to become a trooper. Their graduation is set for 9 A.M. Friday and the new troopers will report to duty in their assigned troops on Monday, July 11.

Among those set to graduate on Friday are Lawson native Tyler R. Peoples, who will ultimately be assigned to Troop A and patrol Zone 5 in Ray and Carroll Counties. Another local product set to graduate is Jamesport native Saxton W. Pliley who will be assigned to Troop H Zone 10 in Daviess and DeKalb Counties.

Also coming to Troop H is Clinton native Jackson D. Schmedding who will patrol Zone 1 covering Atchison and Holt Counties
