33rd Annual Poosey Conservation Area Fall Tour Coming October 20

The 33rd annual Poosey Conservation Area fall tour is set for later this month.

The Missouri Department of Conservation says the tour will be Sunday, October 20 at the Poosey Conservation Area northwest of Chillicothe.

Drivers can tour the winding uphill road and autumn foliage from noon until 4:00 p.m.

Smokey Bear will also be in attendance to celebrate his 75th birthday and take pictures with fans.

M-D-C will also feature presentations on the role of fire in forest, woodland, and grassland ecology.

The annual Poosey driving tour allows visitors to drive on roads not normally open to the public for vehicle traffic.

Vehicles with high clearance are recommended.
