Distinguished Alumni Class Announced For NCMC

The Distinguished Alumni Class of 2020 have been announced. The Alumni honorees will be recognized during during the Pirates Ball on Saturday, March 13th. Voyage Fund donors will also be recognized at the ball. The event a fundraiser for the Voyage Fund that raises unrestricted funds to help meet unmet needs of North Central Missouri College.

Those Distinguished Alumni to be recognized will include Dr Jamie Hooyman. She earned an associate of arts degree at Trenton Junior College and is now Provost at Northwest Missouri State University. She also served in several capacities at North Central Missouri College. She was a faculty member at the University of Central Oklahoma and taught undergraduate and graduate courses in Kinesiology and Health Studies.

John Sturdevant had a 45-year career at a consulting engineer firm in St Louis. He attended Trenton Junior College before transfering to Kansas State University.

Donovan Thomapson attended North Central Missouri College from 2001 to 2004 and then attained an associate of arts in Information Technology. He was also an all conference member of the NCMC Men’s Basketball team. He later played basketball at Park University. He has primarily worked as a Software Engineer for Spotify, NBC Sports, Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Online, and the University of Kansas. He is the CEO of a digital marketing agency New Millennium Tecknology. He is also a co-founder of a cell phone repair and sales store BahamaStart.
