6 Taken To Hospital, 1 Serious Injury Following Motorhome And Freightliner Accident
One person was seriously injured, and 5 other people was also taken to the hospital following an accident between a motorhome and a Freightliner earlier Wednesday morning in Holt County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports a Freightliner hit the back of a unit being towed by a motorhome on southbound Interstate 29 in Holt County. The motorhome began sliding and overturned in the driving lane. It landed on its passenger side. The Freightliner had minor damage and came to a controlled stop.
36-year-old Travis Wheeler of Redmond, Oregon was flown to Mosaic Life Care in St Joseph with serious injuries. 5 others in the motorhome were also taken to Mosaic Life Care with minor injuries.
The accident took place at 4:20 Wednesday morning. The Missouri Department of Transportation assisted the Highway Patrol with the accident’s investigation.
