Biodiesel, Ethanol, and Renewable Fuel Projects Now Underway
As the summer driving season gets underway this weekend, drivers across Missouri have more opportunities to fill their tanks with biofuels produced in the state. The Missouri Department of Agriculture announced funding last month for 19 projects expanding access to and storage of biodiesel, ethanol, and other renewable fuels. Department spokesperson Christi Miller says many of the projects are underway.
Miller credits the efforts of Missouri farmers through the corn and soy merchandising councils for promoting expanded biofuel access.
Close to two-point-one million dollars were awarded by the Missouri Department of Agriculture. Spokesperson Christi Miller says additional funding remains available for interested retailers and fuel distributors. Details are available on the Missouri Department of Agriculture website.
