Transgender Protest Held On Missouri Capitol Steps

(MISSOURINET) – Supporters of the LGBTQ community came out in droves for a protest for trans rights at the Missouri Capitol Wednesday afternoon. The anti-trans legislation being protested includes bills that ban transgender athletes from playing female sports and charge medical providers for ‘coercing’ anyone under 18-years-old to undergo a gender transition. Republican State Senator Bill Eigel (eye-gull) stresses that the Republican priority means “protecting children” and putting protections in place to “prevent harm” being caused to kids.
