Nine-Year-Old Seriously Injured in UTV Accident

BUCHANAN COUNTY, MO – A child from Savannah sustained serious injuries when a UTV he was driving overturned.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident took place around 6:30 pm yesterday in the Honey Creek Conservation Area in Buchanan County. The 9-year-old boy was driving the UTV west on a private road when it started to skid and went off the roadway. It then overturned on the driver’s side, ejecting the boy.
The 9-year-old was taken to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph and then transported to Children’s Mercy Hospital.
