(Missourinet) Winter blues got you down? It might be a more serious form of it called Seasonal Affective Disorder, which is a type of depression that pops up as the season changes to winter.
Dr. Angeline Stanislaus is Chief Medical Director for the Missouri Department of Mental Health.
Her recommendation is to go out in sunlight, even if it’s cold out, and to maintain a healthy diet. Additionally, she says participating in social activities, rather than being cooped up at home, helps brighten those winter blues.
