House Democrats Announces Priority Issues For Missouri Legislative Session
January 4, 2024 10:40PM CST
Following the first day of the 2024 Missouri Legislative Session, the Missouri House Democrat Caucus spoke with the media about issues they plan to push for in the session.
Missouri House Minority Leader Crystal Quade says some of those issues include targeted tax relief, increasing the minimum teacher pay for Missouri permanently, and improving rural Missouri.
She says property tax, gun safety, and reproductive freedom are other items that will have the Democrats attention.
Representative Quade did not sound particularly optimistic about what will result from the session.
The last day of this year’s session will be Friday, May 17th.
