Accident Near Amity Sends Maysville Resident to Hospital

AMITY, MO – A Maysville resident was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in an accident Saturday afternoon near Amity.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the crash occurred on Missouri Highway 6 at Route J, when a vehicle driven by a 16-year old female from Maysville pulled out in front of 20-year old Dalton Sprohl of Pattonsburg. Sprohl’s vehicle began to skid to avoid a collision. The unit he was towing jackknifed across the center of the road. The 16-year old’s vehicle struck Sprohls’s and ran off the road where it overturned.
An occupant in Sprohl’s vehicle, 41-year old Maysville resident Chrystal Bessar, was taken to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph with minor injuries.
