Accident Near Maryville Results in Injuries to Maryville Teen

MARYVILLE, MO – A teenager was injured in an accident Sunday evening southwest of Maryville.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 16-year old male from Tarkio was northbound on Icon Road when he failed to negotiate a corner. The vehicle travelled off the roadway and struck a fence. The vehicle came to rest in the fence line.
A 15-year old female passenger from Maryville was taken to Mosaic in St. Joseph with moderate injuries. Neither the driver or the passenger was wearing a seatbelt.
