UPDATE Authorities Take Man in Custody for Threats at Warrensburg Hospital

WARRENSBURG, MO – Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg is reporting an active shooter in the main hospital building.  In a social media posting it is reported police are on site.  Staff and patients are being evacuated.

*Update – The Missouri State Highway Patrol has reported that a man is in custody for making threats at the hospital.  Trooper Bill Lowe said the suspect was never on the hospital property or inside any of the buildings.  Investigators say they will be looking into what threats were made and why the hospital social media account reported an active shooter.
