(Missourinet) The Missouri Supreme Court ruled last month against Attorney General Andrew Bailey’s fight to overestimate the cost of a proposed vote of the people on abortion rights.
The high court said Bailey is not justified in his refusal to approve the State Auditor’s cost estimate of the proposal that aims to make abortion legal again.
Bailey says he did not know that he was overstepping his power in the challenge.
The fight is not over on the proposed ballot measure- State Representative Hannah Kelly and Senator Mary Elizabeth Coleman have also filed a lawsuit challenging the fellow Republican state auditor’s cost estimate.
