Ag Director Chinn Talks AgriSafe Network

Producers can use more than just a helping hand when stress on the farm becomes too much to handle. In several instances, they could use a helping ear and reassuring voice on the other end of the phone.

The Missouri Department of Agriculture announced last week the launch of the Missouri Farmer Stress Helpline, a 24-hour hotline for producers to call or text if they’re experiencing some form of distress.

Ag Department Director Chris Chinn says the hotline is part of the AgriSafe Network.

Funding for the hotline was made possible by a USDA grant.

Missouri Department of Agriculture Director Chris Chinn says farmers can call or text the Farmer Stress Helpline anytime toll-free at 833-897-2474. Additional resources are available on the Missouri Department of Agriculture website.
