Albany Council Approves 2023-24 Tax Rate

Albany’s Board of Aldermen approved the tax rates for the year during their meeting Tuesday.
The property tax rate for Albany will be $1.78 per hundred dollars of assessed valuation. The levy includes $0.68 in the General Fund, $0.30 in the Parks Fund, $0.61 in the Library Fund, and $0.19 in the Health Fund. Albany’s total assessed valuation is $19.8 million dollars.
A public hearing was also held on the USDA Rural Development Grant Application to purchase a skid loader and cold planer attachment.
The board also approved a resolution to request funds from the Missouri Department of Transportation for the 2023 Transportation Alternatives Program project.
