Albany Council Approves Agreement For Upgraded Airport Lighting
Albany’s Board of Aldermen approved a consultant agreement and a contract regarding the Albany Municipal Airport Lighting Project during a meeting held on Tuesday.
The consultant agreement was approved with H.W. Lochner, Incorporated. That agreement will also include grant oversight for a plan to upgrade the lighting with LED bulbs, electric controls, and navigational upgrades.
The contract agreement was approved with Strukel Electric to provide the construction service for the project. The city has received a grant that provides 90 percent of the funding with federal funding that is administered through the Missouri Department of Transportation. The City of Albany will provide a 10 percent match. The total project will have an estimated cost of $350,000.
