Albany Council Approves TAPS Agreement For New Sidewalk Construction

Albany’s Board of Aldermen approved a bill authorizing an agreement with the Missouri Department of Transportation for a Transportation Enhancements Funds Program during their meeting Tuesday. The agreement will provide funding for a sidewalk construction on East Clay Street in Albany.

The board also approved the authorization of an agreement between the City of Albany and USDA Rural Development. The agreement will allow equipment to be purchased through the Community Facilities Grant Program.

The appointment of Nancy Steven as Deputy Collector was approved by the council.

The board also approved donation of the December 20th portion of the electric bill to the first-place winner of the Albany Chamber of Commerce Lighting Contest.

A tax abatement was also approved at the session.
