Albany Drivers Injured In Accident Near Ravenwood

Two Albany drivers were injured, one seriously, following a two vehicle accident east of Ravenwood Thursday morning.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports 28 year old Dameon Sweat of Albany was driving a pickup eastbound on Route O, a mile and a half east of Ravenwood, and went into the opposite lane and hit an oncoming vehicle driven by 20 year old Mary-Brooke Steinbach of Albany.

Mary-Brooke Steinbach was seriously injured in the accident and was taken to Mosaic Life Care in St Joseph. Sweat receive moderate injuries and was taken to a Maryville hospital. Both of the vehicles were totaled.

The Ravenwood Fire Department assisted the Highway Patrol.

The accident took place just before 6:30 Thursday morning.
