Local Residents Charged in Caldwell County for Exploitation

Three residents of Northwest Missouri have been formally charged in Caldwell County for three felonies.

Missouri’s Casenet court system says 42-year-old James Michael Gordon II of Albany, 36-year-old Trista Alice Boley of Chillicothe, and 31-year-old Christa Danielle Lycan of Chillicothe have been charged with felony exploitation of an elderly or disabled person, stealing $750 or more, and conspiracy to commit a felony.

A probable cause affidavit alleges that Lycan’s 55-year-old aunt gave the trio $1700 to buy a vehicle for her and bring it back. After purchasing a 2002 Chrysler for $1100, Gordon allegedly told the Sheriff’s Office to list the sale price as $1600 on the title.

It was reported the three of them sold the vehicle to an unnamed individual.

Boley and Gordon have criminal records including fraud, theft, and bad checks. This is Lycan’s first offense.
