Ameren Electric Customers To Get Small Relief On Bills

A filing approved by the Missouri public Service Commission will mean slightly lower bills for customers of Ameren Electric in Missouri.

The Public Service Commission this week has approved a filing from Ameren Missouri that will lower the company’s fuel adjustment clause (FAC) charge. The adjustment reflects changes in the fuel and purchased power costs, net off-system sales revenues, and associated transportation experienced during the four month period of October 2022 through January 2023.

Under the adjustment a residential customer using 1,000 kWh (kilowatt-hours) of electricity per month, the FAC will decrease by about $1.01 a month, from a current FAC of $6.27 a month
to about $5.26 a month. The change will take effect on June 1, 2023.

Ameren Missouri provides electric service to approximately 1.29 million electric customers in Missouri.
