Andrew County Accident Leaves Nebraska Woman With Serious Injuries

 

An accident on I-29 in Andrew County Thursday afternoon left a Nebraska woman with serious injuries.

According to the accident report from the Highway Patrol, at 3:38 P.M. Thursday 34-year-old Maitland, Missouri resident Jeffery S. Blazer was driving a 2020 Subaru northbound on I-29 about 10 miles south of Savannah when his front bumper struck the rear end of a 2019 Toyota Sienna being driven by 34-year-old Hastings, Nebraska resident Kathleen M. Riley.

The collision sent the Riley vehicle off the east side of the roadway, where it came to rest.

Neither driver was injured, but a passenger in the Riley vehicle, 50-year-old Sutton, Nebraska resident Nikole S. Gemar, was left with serious injuries. She was taken by Andrew COunty Ambulance to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph for treatment.

The Highway Patrol says everyone involved was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
