Area Schools Compete in FFA District Competitions

Twenty-eight area FFA Chapters took part in the Northwest Missouri FFA District competition Wednesday.

The Gilman City FFA Chapter took first place in the FFA knowledge competition. North Harrison placed fourth. Both Gilman City and North Harrison qualified for the state competition next month. North Daviess is the alternate team for the state competition.

In poultry judging, Cameron placed second and Gallatin came in fourth. Putnam County took third in forestry with Gallatin tying for fifth. Milan placed 4th and Gallatin fifth in entomology. Gallatin also captured fifth place in judging of soils.

Over 26,000 students are enrolled in Missouri agricultural education programs.
