Armed Fugitive from New York Arrested in Andrew County

An armed fugitive was arrested in Andrew County Saturday morning.

The Missouri Highway Patrol reports the arrest of 39-year-old Christopher S. Palmer of Syracuse, New York at 11:30 am.

Palmer had warrants for his arrest from his home state and was an out-of-state fugitive for failing to register as a sex offender. He was additionally charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm, unlawful use of a weapon, second-degree assault, three counts of felony endangering the welfare of a child, and armed criminal action.

He was taken to the Andrew County Jail for a 24-hour hold awaiting formal charges.
