Ashcroft on How Choosing a Presidential Candidate Will Be Different in Missouri This Year

As Iowa Republicans held the nation’s first caucus of this year’s presidential race, Missouri Republicans will soon be holding their own.

Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft told Missourinet how a caucus differs from a primary election:

Caucus participants will then vote in groups to select Missouri’s preference for president.

The caucus is for Republicans only and will be held March 2nd at numerous locations across Missouri.

Democrats are holding a mail-in presidential primary with limited in-person voting in the St. Louis and Kansas City areas on March 23rd.
