Atchison, KS Man Surrenders Following Fatal Crash

 

A 22-year-old Atchison, Kansas man surrender to authorities Wednesday following a fatal car crash early Monday morning.

Authorities in Atchison say at about 2 A.M. Monday they attempted to make a stop on a 2002 Mini Cooper that was driving recklessly. That vehicle fled but was found a short time later after leaving the roadway and coming to rest on its top in a residential yard.

One of the passengers in that vehicle, 20-year-old Atchison resident Jacey Paris, was killed in the accident. A 22-year-old Brandon Mann and two other passengers, ages 15 and 16, were transported to an area hospital for treatment of their injuries.

On Wednesday Mann turned himself in to authorities investing that crash. He was booked on charges of 1st degree murder, aggravated battery, two counts of aggravated endangerment of a child, fleeing and attempting to elude, and reckless driving.

Mann is being held on a bond of $750,000.
