Barnard Man Injured in Sunday Crash in Nodaway County

A Barnard man was injured in a Sunday afternoon crash in Nodaway County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred on 2nd Street, south of Route M in Barnard, when a vehicle driven by 66-year-old Jeffrey T. McGinnes was heading southbound.

Troopers say McGinnes went off the east side of the road, overcorrected, crossed off the west side of the road, and struck a building and parked trailer.

McGinnes was taken to Mosaic, in Maryville, for treatment of minor injuries.

Authorities say McGinnes was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
