Belt Highway Resurfacing Project Delayed

A resurfacing project on the Belt Highway has been delayed.

The Missouri Department of Transportation says crews will now resurface the Belt Highway, in Saint Joseph, on April 8.

The project was originally set to begin April 3.

MO-DOT says crews will resurface the Belt from Interstate 29, at Exit 50, to Route FF.

During this project, one lane will remain open in each direction.

24-hour lane closures may be necessary to allow concrete to properly cure.

Crews plan to work during daylight hours, Monday through Saturday.

All work is weather permitting and schedules are subject to change.
