Bethany Man Arrested in Chillicothe, Alleged to Have Stolen Vehicles from Bethany Businesses

A Bethany man was taken into custody in Chillicothe on Friday after officers say he was observed with a truck reported stolen from a Bethany business.

A probable cause affidavit filed in the Livingston County court says officers responded to a pawn shop in Chillicothe where a pickup was parked which had been reported stolen from First Call Storm Removal in Bethany. Livingston County officers arrested a passenger in the vehicle, identified as Rachel Waldrep. They were then able to locate the driver of the truck inside the pawn shop. The driver was identified as 32-year old Bethany resident Levi Wedgeworth.

The Harrison County Sheriff’s Department issued an affidavit alleging Wedgeworth was observed on security camera footage on the property of First Call Storm Removal early Friday morning, when the vehicle was stolen. Law enforcement said Wedgeworth drove another vehicle that was stolen from Premier Ag to First Call Storm Removal.

Wedgeworth is charged in Harrison County with two counts of tampering with a motor vehicle. He also faces tampering and drug charges in Livingston County. Waldrep is charged in Livingston County with drug possession.
