Bethany Man Set for May Jury Trial in Child Sex Crime Case

The fate of a Bethany man charged with child sex crimes will rest with a jury next May.

Dustin Paul Fortner is alleged to have committed child molestation of a 12-year-old child; and abuse of a child, causing serious emotional or physical injury.  According to court records, the victim is alleged to have told investigators Fortner touched her in an inappropriate manner and exposed himself to her on multiple occasions.

Judge Ryan Horsman from the 43rd Circuit has been appointed to hear the case which is set for a three day jury trial, May 17th through the 19th.

If convicted, Fortner would face a maximum of 25 years in prison.
