Bethany Native Preparing for her Role in the Tournament of Roses Parade
Brooklyn Ellis, South Harrison Alumni and Bethany native is in Pasadena, California preparing for the Tournament of Roses Parade. Brooklyn was chosen as 1 of 4 drum majors who will lead the Bands of America Honor Band in the iconic parade on New Year’s Day.
Brooklyn traveled to Long Beach earlier this week to prepare for her role with the band.
The Bands of America Honor Band consists of more than 300 members and is directed by composer Richard Saucedo. Members of the band represent schools from all 50 states.
Ellis is a 2021 graduate of South Harrison High School in Bethany and is a student at Northwest Missouri State University where she is pursuing a degree in Music Education.
The 133rd Rose Parade will take place on January 1st, 2022, starting at 10 a.m. (CST).
