His 2020 presidential campaign limped to a fourth place finish in the state’s technology-glitchy caucus. After bouncing back to win the nomination, Biden lost the state to Donald Trump handily in November. In a push to spur economic growth and job creation, the Biden Administration has designated two future technology hubs in Missouri.
In central and western Missouri, BioNexus KC aims to position the region’s largest concentration of animal health and nutrition companies as a leader in biomanufacturing.
Several cities have been named in this KC BioHub, including Columbia, Jefferson City, Marshall, Warrensburg, Sedalia, Kansas City, and St. Joseph.

Congress passed and President Biden signed the bill into law in 2022.
