Blown Tire Blamed For Buchanan County Accident This Morning

A Kansas City woman was injured in a Buchanan County accident this morning.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred on I-29, about five miles south of Saint Joseph, when a vehicle driven by 21-year-old Hallie A. Wilcoxson was heading northbound.

Troopers say Wilcoxson’s right rear tire shredded and deflated, causing her to skid off the east side of I-29.

Wilcoxson struck an embankment, returned to the road, and came to a rest.

Wilcoxson suffered minor injuries and was taken to Mosaic Life Care, in Saint Joseph, for treatment.

Troopers say Wilcoxson was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
