Bond for Cameron Man Charged with Rape is Set

The bond for the man from Cameron accused of rape was not reduced in court Thursday.

The bond is set at a cash-only $500-thousand supervised bond with no contact allowed with the alleged victim.

Missouri’s Casenet system reports that 22-year-old Ja’Quawn Jones was charged with first-degree felony rape or attempted rape and fourth-degree felony child molestation with a child less than 17 and older than 4.

Jones was arrested after an incident with a 16-year-old girl last week where he allegedly pushed the girl onto the hood of his car in a field on Northwest Custer Drive in Cameron. An affidavit says the girl told him no multiple times but Jones told her he had a gun in the vehicle.
