Contractors working with the Missouri Department of Transportation are closing several ramps on Interstate 229 today and Thursday for shoulder work.
Crews already closed the ramp from southbound U.S. Route 71 to southbound I-229 and from northbound I-29 to southbound I-229 (Exit 56B) this morning.
For the remainder of today and continuing through Thursday, the I-229 on and off-ramps between Highland Avenue and I-29 will be closed for approximately 30 minutes each.
Due to the nature of the work, the exact time for each ramp closure is unknown.
Motorists should remain alert and follow all roadway signing and traffic control devices.
All work is weather-permitting, and schedules are subject to change.
