British Columbia Man Suffers Injuries in Buchanan County Crash Thursday

A Canadian man suffered injuries in a Buchanan County crash Thursday afternoon.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the accident occurred around 4:10 Thursday afternoon on I-29, at mile marker 50.6 in Saint Joseph, as 46-year-old Abbots Ford, British Columbia resident Davinder Singh drove a Freightliner southbound.

Troopers say Singh failed to observe other southbound vehicles slowing for an upcoming construction zone and struck the rear fender of 55-year-old Omaha, Nebraska man John M. Boggust.

Authorities say Boggust’s vehicle then pushed forward into a Jeep driven by 36-year-old Troy, Kansas resident Brett D. Clary and overturned in a ditch.

Singh’s vehicle came to a rest in the southbound lanes of I-29.

Clary came to a rest on the southbound shoulder.

Singh suffered moderate injuries and sought treatment at Mosaic in Saint Joseph.

Troopers say all involved wore seat belts at the time of the crash.
