Buchanan County Jury Convicts St. Joseph Woman in Retrial

A Buchanan County jury found Angela Henderson guilty Friday in a 2012 stabbing death during a retrial.

Angela Henderson was found guilty of second-degree murder, armed criminal action and evidence tampering in the death of Clinton “Sam” Justice.  A previous conviction was overturned on appeal.  In that case she had been sentenced to life in prison.

It was alleged by prosecutors that Henderson and two accomplices tried to use the victim and his military pension to get money to fund her drug habit.  He was allegedly killed when he refused to hand over any money.

Hendrson’s attorney disputed the allegations, saying that she was not buying drugs that night.
