Buchanan County Lawn Mower Accident Leaves One Injured Sunday

An Easton woman was injured in a crash involving a lawn mower Sunday afternoon in Buchanan County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred on Route AB, three miles east of Saint Joseph, when a vehicle driven by 31-year-old Stewartsville resident Amy L. Babcock was heading northbound.

Troopers say Babcock attempted to pass a northbound John Deere lawn mower being driven by 69-year-old Carol A. Horton as Horton attempted a left turn.

Both vehicles would collide and come to a rest.

Horton was taken to Mosaic, in Saint Joseph, for treatment of serious injuries.

No injury information was listed for Babcock.
