NEWS RELEASE JUNE 2022
On 06/02/2022, at approximately 0954 hours, Deputies responded to the Caldwell County Courthouse to take a male
into custody according to a warrant for his arrest for Possession of a controlled substance. The bond amount was set
at $10,000 cash only. He was taken into custody and transported to the Caldwell County Detention Center.
On 06/02/2022, at approximately 1650 hours, Deputies responded to the 6000 Block of Sigman Drive in Kidder, to a
report of stealing of metal T post used by a property owner to mark a survey line on his property. This incident is
currently under investigation.
On 06/02/2022, at approximately 1923 hours, Caldwell County Deputies and Ray County Deputies responded to the
22000 Block of Highway 13 in Polo to serve an arrest warrant on a male. The male was located and taken into
custody according to a warrant for his arrest for failing to register a motor vehicle. The bond amount was set at
$200.00 cash only. The suspect was transported to the Caldwell County Detention Center.
On 06/03/2022, at approximately 2126 hours, Deputies responded to the 800 Block of Main Street in Braymer, to a
report of peace disturbance. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted the persons involved and separated the parties. No
charges were sought.
On 06/04/2022, Caldwell County Sheriff’s Deputies began an investigation of a large amount of stolen cattle.
As a result of the investigation, Deputies identified two suspects and identified the local cattle sale barns where the
cattle were sold following their theft. The male suspect has been arrested and incarcerated in the Caldwell County
Detention Center, and the female suspect has been identified and currently has an active warrant for her arrest. The
value of the number of cattle stolen over the period of time was valued at over $25,000.00.
On 06/07/2022, at approximately 1018 hours, Deputies made contact with a subject at the Caldwell County Sheriff’s
Department located at 54 N Franklin Street, Caldwell County, Kingston, Mo 64650 to turn himself in according to a
warrant for his arrest.
The male had a Caldwell County warrant with a bond of $50,000.00 cash only for failing to obey a Judge’s order.
The person was taken into custody without incident, and transported to the Caldwell County Detention Center where
he is held in lieu of bond.
On 06/09/2022, at approximately 2202 hours, Deputies responded to the 300 block of North Murrays in Braymer,
Mo to a reported Domestic disturbance. As a result of this investigation, a male suspect was taken into custody and
transported to the Caldwell County Detention Center and charged with Domestic assault.
On 06/12/2022, at approximately 1816 hours, Deputies arrested a male suspect who surrendered themselves
according to a warrant for their arrest for the charge of Animal abuse and Animal neglect as well as improper
disposal of an animal. The bond was set at $10,000.00 cash only. The suspect was arrested without incident and
transported to the Caldwell County Detention Center where he was held in lieu of bond.
On 06/12/2022, at approximately 1838 hours, Deputies responded to the 500 block of W. Center Polo, Mo 64671, in
reference to a disturbance. After further investigation, no arrest were made.
On 06/14/2022, Caldwell County Deputies and Detention Staff discovered drugs consisting of marijuana, tobacco,
vape pens, lighters, matches and other assorted items had been attempted to be smuggled into the Caldwell County
Detention Center.
An investigation identified the inmate and a person outside of the jail as the suspects. Charges are being sought for
the suspects.
On 06/16/2022, at approximately 1405 hours, Deputies arrested a person in the 100 Block of west School Street in
Hamilton, Mo according to a bond violation warrant for their arrest for operating a vehicle without a license,
exceeding the posted speed limit and for operating a motor vehicle without financial responsibility. The bond was
set at $20,000.00 cash only. The person was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Caldwell
County Detention Center.
On 06/16/2022, at approximately 1405 hours, the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Department arrested a female at Court
Services in Hamilton, Mo according to a warrant from Dekalb County. Her warrant was for Failure to obey Judges
Order for the original charge of Assault and unlawful use of a weapon.
The Warrant was issued by Judge Bart Spear. Bond amount was set at $10,000.00.
The person was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Caldwell County Detention Center.
On 6/16/2022, at approximately 1749 hours, Deputies responded to the 2500 Block of Highway 116 in Polo to a
reported minor stealing. Upon further investigation, the incident was handled without an arrest.
On 06/17/2022, at approximately 2228 hours, Deputies served an arrest warrant in the 600 Block of Milwaukee
Street in Polo, Mo on a male suspect for a Probation and Parole warrant with no allowed bond. The male was taken
into custody without incident and transported to the Caldwell County Detention Center.
On 06/23/2022, at approximately 2125 hours, Deputies responded to the area of the 200 Block of East Fourth Street
in Braymer, where they located and identified a male suspect who is a registered sex offender with the State of
Missouri. The suspect was registered to be residing in Livingston County, but had been residing at the address in
Caldwell County without anyone’s knowledge. He was taken into custody and transported to the Caldwell County
Detention Center to be charged for his actions. He is also facing charges to be filed in Livingston County for not
informing the Livingston County Sheriff’s Department he had moved from their jurisdiction.
On 06/27/2022, at approximately 14:10 hours, the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Department arrested a male at the
Caldwell County Detention Center located at Kingston, Mo according to warrants from Platte, Buchanan County,
and St. Joseph PD Warrants. The person was taken into custody and placed into the Detention Center where they are
being held in lieu of bond.
On 06/28/2022, at approximately 0020 hours, Deputies responded to the 8000 block of Falcon drive in Polo in
reference to a violation of an ex parte order. This incident in currently being investigated.
On 06/29/2022, at approximately 0938 hours, Deputies responded to the Cameron Police Department and received
custody of a male who had been arrested on Caldwell County Warrants for a probation violation on original charges
of Burglary- 2nd Degree Felony D and Stealing $750 or more Felony D. The allowed bond amount was set at
$50,000.00 cash only. The male was transported back to the Caldwell County Detention Center.
