Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office October 2021 Activity Report

On 10-02-2021 at approximately 20:50 hours, Deputies responded to the address of 8530 La Vista Dr. Polo, Caldwell County Missouri, for a report of a stolen vehicle. Upon arrival it was reported a 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander
was stolen from outside of the residence. The vehicle was entered into MULES as stolen and surrounding Law enforcement agencies were notified. On 10-5-2021, at approximately 0800 hours, Sheriff’s Department was
notified by the owner that the vehicle was returned and parked in front of the residence. This incident is under investigation and a suspect has been identified. Arrest is pending.

On 10/03/2021 at approximately 00:11 hours, Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Highway 116 west of Polo city limits on a black KIA. The vehicle was stopped for failing to stop at the 4 way stop in Polo at Highway 13 and
Highway 116. At the time of the stop, the Deputy detected the odor of alcohol emitting from the breath of the driver of the vehicle. The driver performed field sobriety tests and failed. He was then arrested for driving while intoxicated and transported to the Caldwell County Detention Center.

On 10-07-2021, at approximately 1655 hours, Caldwell County Deputies were dispatched to 160 E. Elm St. Caldwell County, Breckenridge MO, in regards to a Domestic Disturbance. Upon arrival, it was determined the male and female parties were going to separate due to an argument. No arrests were made.

On 10/04/2021 at approximately 10:24 AM, the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Department began an investigation regarding a scam involving overcharging of services to an 89 year old female who lives on 116, West of Polo,
Missouri. The victim reported a person had come to her residence, and offered to work on her house and pointed out some issues at her residence he had claimed he observed while driving by. Being elderly and trusting what the man told her, she agreed and allowed the male to do some work on her driveway; He then charged her thousands of dollars for his work, which was determined to be twice the amount of what would be normally charged. She paid this amount; he then returned and offered additional services to repair her roof which she allowed him to do. He then submitted her a bill for thousands of dollars in an attempt to take advantage of her good honest nature. Sheriff’s Department Detectives have identified the suspect, and found he has an extensive criminal history regarding doing this type of scam to elderly people in Missouri. Charges are being sought against the suspect.
Sheriff Allen would like to warn citizens of possible scams such as these. Should someone contact you without you requesting services for repairs, feel free to question their qualifications and intentions. Check to see if they are a reputable business before allowing them to begin working.

On 10/07/2021, Deputies arrested a 44 year old male in Kingston, for driving while suspended following a traffic stop. The Caldwell County Sheriff’s Department is the location where Caldwell County sex offenders report to
regularly register due to their convictions of their crimes. On this date prior to the male’s arrest, he arrived to register as required and it was found he had a suspended/revoked driver’s license. It was noticed he had parked
away from the Sheriff’s Department and had walked. After he completed his registration, Deputies followed and watched as he entered into a vehicle approximately a block away and drove the vehicle. He was then stopped and placed under arrest. He was then placed in the Caldwell County Detention Center.

On 10/07/2021 at approximately 1037 hours, Caldwell County Deputies responded to 49 E. Main St Kingston, Caldwell County, MO (Caldwell County Courthouse) in reference to an arrest warrant for a female in court.
Cassandra Wallace was placed under arrest, according to a warrant issued for Failure to obey a Judge’s order. The bond amount was $50,000.00 cash only. She was transported to the Caldwell County Detention Center where she was held in lieu of bond.

On 10/07/2021 at approximately 2205 hours, Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of Highway 116 and State Route T. As a result of the traffic stop, both occupants were arrested for Possession of methamphetamine,
Possession of marijuana, Possession of drug paraphernalia, and Possession of a controlled substance. The driver was also arrested for driving while revoked. Both suspects were transported to the Caldwell County Detention Center.

On 10/08/2021, at approximately 0912 hours, Deputies responded to the Caldwell County Courthouse to arrest a person who was there and had a warrant for his arrest. The male was transported to the Caldwell County
Detention Center according to his warrant for Littering and driving while revoked, the warrant carried a $1000.00 bond. Upon his arrival at the jail, it was discovered he had concealed a controlled substance on his person in an attempt to bring this substance into a jail facility. The contraband substance was collected as evidence when he was searched and he now has additional charges.

On 10/09/2021, at approximately 2021 hours, Deputies responded to Mom’s place located at 407 Main Street, Polo, Caldwell County, MO 64671, in regards to a fight in progress. Upon arrival, a 42 year old female was arrested
for assaulting a 70 year old female. The incident had started inside of the bar and had then continued to the sidewalk outside of the bar. The 42 year old female was taken into custody and transported to the Caldwell County Detention Center.

On 10-10-2021, Deputies responded to the 100 block of 1st street in Breckenridge, MO to a report of stealing. As a result of this investigation, the suspect was arrested for stealing and trespassing. The suspect was arrested and placed in the Caldwell County Detention center awaiting filing of formal charges.

On 10/11/2021, Deputies responded to the 100 block of 1st street in Breckenridge, MO to a reported assault. As a result of this investigation, a male and female suspect were arrested and transported to the Caldwell County Detention Center where they were held awaiting filing of formal charges. On 10/12/, Deputies conducted a traffic enforcement stop on Highway 36 near Center road for excessive speed. As a result of the traffic stop, the driver was believed to be intoxicated. A search of the vehicle revealed the driver to be in possession of cocaine and marijuana. The driver was arrested and placed in the Caldwell County Detention Center awaiting filing of formal charges.

On 10/12/2021, at approximately 2221 hours, Deputies responded to the 200 Block of 6th Street in Breckenridge, MO to a check the well being of a female who was posting strange comments on her Facebook page. Deputies
arrived at the residence, and found the female was not home but her boyfriend was. Deputies contacted the boyfriend and discovered he was a person who had lied about his identity to deputies on a previous investigation
at another location. After locating the female in question and finding her to be well, the deputies correctly identified the male who had an active warrant for his arrest; which was a Parole warrant with no bond allowed.
The male was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Caldwell County Detention Center.

On 10/13/2021 at approximately 2010 hours, Deputies responded to the 7000 block of NW Grandview Rd in regards to property damages. Upon arrival by Deputies, the property owner described someone known to him had
used a vehicle and struck his camper. The property owner wanted the incident reported but declined to press charges.

On 10-14-2021, at approximately 1036 hours, Deputies received a report of a stolen vehicle from the 400 Block of Maple Street in Kidder, MO. The stolen vehicle was described as a 2005 Blue in color Chrysler PT Cruiser. The
vehicle information was entered into the State wide MULES system. This incident is under investigation.

On 10-14-2021, at approximately 1237, Deputies arrested James Paul McKinzie according to a warrant for his arrest out of Caldwell County for 5 counts of Assault – 1st Degree or Attempt Felony-B, 2 counts of Property
Damage 1st Degree Felony E, and 1 count of Possession of Marijuana/Synthetic Cannabinoid of 10 Grams or Less M/D. The allowed bond amount was $25,000.00. He was processed at the Caldwell County Detention Center.
On 10/14/2021, at approximately 1819 hours, Deputies observed a female identified as Dana Gardner, who had a felony warrant for her arrest out of Caldwell County Missouri, driving a blue Pontiac Crossfire headed north on
Murray’s St in Braymer, MO. Deputies conducted a traffic stop on her vehicle and placed her under arrest for the warrants. She was transported to the Caldwell County Detention Center where she was held in lieu of the $50,000.00 bond amount.

On 10/14/2021, at approximately 1918 hours, Deputies responded to an address in the Hideaway Lake area to a report of theft of utilities. This incident is under investigation and suspects are being sought for questioning.
On 10/16/2021, at approximately 1102 hours, Deputies were dispatched to the 300 block of Highway 116 Braymer, Caldwell County, Missouri, in reference to a check the well being. Upon arrival, Scott Adams was located and
placed under arrest according to a warrant for his arrest issued by the Caldwell County Judge Jason Kanoy. Adams was taken into custody and transported to the Caldwell County Detention Center, where he was held in lieu of bond.

On 10/15/2021, at approximately 1750 hours, Deputies were dispatched to an address on Dove Road in the Hideaway lake area on a disturbance. Upon deputies’ arrival, it was discovered one of the suspects had fled the
scene on foot. Deputies began searching the area and located a male and female in the area. The female was found to have a non extraditable warrant for her arrest and the male was found to have an active warrant for his
arrest out of the State of Arkansas; he was also found to be in possession of methamphetamine. He was taken into custody and transported to the Caldwell County Detention Center.

On 10/15/2021, at approximately 2317 hours, Deputies responded to a traffic accident, car vs. deer on Highway 36 near State Route K in Caldwell County MO. Upon the deputies’ arrival at the scene, the driver of the vehicle was found to have an active warrant for her arrest from Clark County Missouri for Failure to appear. The female was taken into custody and transported to the Caldwell County Detention Center where she was held in lieu of the allowed bond amount.

On 10/16/2021, at approximately 0145 hours, Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near Highway 116 and Highway 13 in the Polo area. As a result of the traffic stop, the driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
Upon failing the road side testing for the Deputy, the driver was transported to the Caldwell County Detention Center.

On 10/16/2021 at approximately 2153 hours, Deputies conducted a traffic stop near Highway 116 and Pikes road on a vehicle with a front headlight not working. Upon contacting the driver of the vehicle, it was determined the
driver was believed to be intoxicated. Following field sobriety testing by the Deputy, the driver was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated and transported to the Caldwell County Detention Center.

On 10/17/2021 at approximately 0123 hours, Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of Highway 116 and State Route D, on a vehicle swerving on the roadway. The vehicle was stopped and it was discovered upon further
investigation, the driver was believed to be intoxicated. The driver was unable to pass field sobriety testing done by the Deputy, and was then arrested for driving while intoxicated. The 62 year old male was taken into custody and transported to the Caldwell County Detention Center.

On 10/17/2021, at approximately 1731 hours, Deputies were dispatched to an address on Forrest Road, Cameron ,Caldwell County, MO for illegal dumping. Someone had disposed of trash on someone else’s property. The owner of the trash was identified and charges are being sought on the suspects for littering.

On 10-18-2021, at approximately 1613 hours, Deputies made contact with Chris Rightsell at an address in the hideaway lake area. His information was checked for wants and warrants through dispatch and it was confirmed
he had 2 active warrants, #74878 and #74879 issued on 01/21/2020 out of Richmond Missouri Police Department for Failure to Appear on original charges of Expired Operator License and No Proof of Insurance. Bond was set at $100.00 cash or surety for FTA Expired Operator License and $150.00 cash or surety for FTA No Proof of Insurance. Rightsell was taken into custody.

On 10-19-2021, at approximately 1421 hours, Deputies were contacted regarding a stolen 1998 Jeep Cherokee white in color. The vehicle was taken from a location on Tait Park Road and Evans Road in Braymer Mo. The vehicle information was entered into the MULES database and has yet to be located. This incident is under investigation.

On 10/19/2021, at approximately 1434 hours, Deputies responded to the address in the 4000 block of NE Dustin Rd. Hamilton for a burglary alarm. Upon arrival by deputies, it was discovered the residence rear door was open
and someone had pried the door open. A search of the residence found no one inside. A suspect has been determined and is being sought for questioning in this incident.

On 10-19-2021, at approximately 1455 hours, Deputies responded to the 8000 block Falcon Dr. Polo, Mo, Caldwell County, in Hideaway Lakes, in reference to a Burglary not in progress. Upon arrival, it was reported the theft of numerous items from inside of the house. Suspects have been identified and are being sought for questioning in this incident.

On 10/19/2021, at approximately 1955 hours, Deputies arrested Amanda Miller according to a warrant for her arrest from Livingston County for a probation violation. Ms Miller surrendered herself at the Caldwell County
Sheriff’s Department. She was taken into custody, and transported to the Caldwell County Detention Center.

On 10/21/2021, at approximately 1337 hours, Deputies arrested Jordan Riggins according to a warrant for his arrest for Non Support. Mr. Riggins was taken into custody at the Caldwell County Courthouse without incident
and transported to the Caldwell County Detention Center where he was held in lieu of the allowable bond.

On 10/21/2021, at approximately 1430 hours, Deputies served an arrest warrant to James Paxton while he was held at the Caldwell County Detention Center. The warrant was a non – support warrant with a bond of $1000.00. Mr. Paxton remained at the Detention Center after service of the warrant.

On 10/21/2021, at approximately 1629 hours, Deputies responded to a residence in the 4000 block of Wildlife Road to a reported burglary. As deputies arrived near the location, they located a Hispanic male fitting the
description of the person leaving the residence as was observed by a neighbor. Deputies placed the male under arrest and transported him to the Caldwell County Detention Center. The investigation of this incident warranted charges of Burglary, stealing and Trespassing.

On 10/22/2021, Deputies began an investigation regarding a citizen and a Caldwell County Detainee conspiring to smuggle tobacco into the Caldwell County Detention Center. As a result of the investigation, a 38 year old female from Braymer and a 51 year old male detainee will receive charges for their attempts and plans.

On 10-23-2021, at approximately 1036 hours, Deputies responded to the 100 block of N. Main St Braymer, Mo in reference to an assault. The victim in the assault was later transported by EMS to a hospital. A suspect has been identified in this incident and is currently being sought for questioning.

On 10/25/2021, at approximately 1313 hours, Deputies recovered a stolen license plate from a resident in Kingston. The plate was found to be stolen from the Kansas City area. The plate was confiscated and will be returned to the Department of Revenue.

On 10/25/2021, at approximately 1920 hours, Deputies responded to an address in the 5000 block of Whispering Oaks Cameron, Caldwell County, Mo 64429, on a report of a missing juvenile. Upon arrival, the reported missing juvenile was located and returned to parents; another person on the scene was also contacted and found to have two active warrants for their arrest from Clay County. This person was taken into custody and transported to the Caldwell County Detention Center where they were held in lieu on bond.

On 10/26/2021, at approximately 0719 hours, Deputies responded to the 1000 block of E. Front St, Kidder, in reference to a recovered stolen vehicle. The vehicle had been stolen without the owner’s knowledge and was
abandoned. The vehicle was returned to the owner and a suspect has been identified and is being sought for questioning.

On 10-26-2021, at approximately 0758 hours, Deputies were dispatched to the 300 block of W. 3rd Caldwell County Kidder, MO, in reference to a stolen item from a motor vehicle. Upon arrival, the property owner reported a stolen vehicle key fob from inside of a vehicle.

On 10/26/2021, at approximately 1523 hours, Deputies received a report of a stolen license plate from a vehicle. The plate number was listed as stolen and entered into the MULES database.

On 10/26/2021, at approximately 2113 hours, Deputies conducted a traffic enforcement stop of a vehicle on Highway 36 near Center Road. As a result of the traffic stop, the driver of the vehicle was found to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest out of Hardin County Sheriff’s Office Kentucky. For Child Neglect, Bond $ 25,000 cash only. The driver was taken into custody and transported to the Caldwell County Detention Center where he was held in lieu of bond.

On 10/27/2021, at approximately 0023 hours, Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Highway 36 near Nettleton Road. As a result of the traffic stop, the driver of the vehicle was found to have an active warrant for his arrest
from the City of Chillicothe for the charge of Property Damage with a bond amount of $500.00. The driver was taken into custody and transported to the Caldwell County Detention Center where he was held in lieu of bond.
On 10/27/2021, at approximately 0321 hours, Deputies received a report from a resident in the 4000 block of Old Highway 36 in the Hamilton area of a stolen black in color 2008 Ford F-150 pickup. The vehicle was listed as stolen in the MULES database and is being searched for at this time.

On 10/27/2021, at approximately 0730 hours, the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Department executed a search warrant of a residence located in the 9000 block of Locust Street in Polo Mo, Hideaway Lakes area. The search warrant resulted in the arrest of three individuals for charges of possession of stolen property, possession of narcotics and possession of firearms. This search warrant was a result of a conclusion of a drug distribution investigation.

On 10/22/2021, Deputies opened an investigation at the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Department, located at 54 N. Franklin, Kingston, Caldwell County, Missouri 64650, in reference to an ex parte violation. Amy Yarbrough was later identified as the victim.

On 10/29/2021, at approximately 1330 hours, Deputies responded to 610 N. Wooden Street, Braymer, Caldwell County, Missouri in reference to stealing. Paul and Shyann Huffman were later identified as the victims.

On 10/31/2021, Deputies conducted a traffic enforcement stop near Highway 116 and Holstein in the Polo area. The driver of the vehicle was believed to be intoxicated. The driver failed field sobriety test and was then arrested and delivered to the Caldwell County Detention Center pending filing of formal charges.

On 10/31/2021, the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted Halloween compliance checks on all registered sex offenders residing in Caldwell County. We would like to report no violations were observed.

On 11/01/2021, Deputies conducted a traffic enforcement stop near Lovely Ridge on Highway 36. Following a search of the vehicle, the driver was then arrested for possession of methamphetamine. He was then transported to the Caldwell County Detention Center awaiting filing of formal charges.
