Cameron City Council Calls Special Meeting For Harris Street Grant
The Cameron City Council has called a special meeting for Friday.
The meeting has just one item on the agenda, “a resolution with Mo-Kan Regional Council for grant administration for a Community Development Block Grant program project” for Harris Street.
That meeting will take place Friday, January 28 at Noon at City Hall.
Plans are for the City to do a full street reconstruction along Harris Street between 4th and 7th Streets as well as reconstruction of 5th and 6th Streets between Harris and Cedar Streets. The reconstruction would include concrete roadways along Harris Street, asphalt roadways along 5th and 6th streets, sidewalk connections, curb and guttering, and connection to existing storm sewer.
The total project cost is estimated at $1,369,295.09. The City of Cameron would contribute $869,295.09 cash and $0 in-kind work.
