A Cameron man was asleep at the wheel early on Sunday morning.
According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, 40-year-old Shawn D. Manley was driving east on Route HH, east of Croket Road with 40-year-old Johna K. Asher. Manley was not wearing a seatbelt, but Asher was wearing a safety device.
Two miles west of Kingston at 12:30 a.m., Manley fell asleep and the Chevy he was driving crossed the center line, went off the roadway and into a ditch. The car was totaled and the occupants suffered minor injuries.
They were taken by private vehicle to Cameron Regional Medical Center.
