State Representative Jim Neely of Cameron made the formal announcement Wednesday that he is entering the governors race. Neely is a physician from Cameron and will be running on the Republican ticket. He will face current Governor Mike Parson in the primary.

To this point, State Auditor Nicole Galloway is the only candidate to have announced a run for Governor on the Democratic ticket.
