Cameron Police Announce Promotion and New Detective

The Cameron Police have announced a promotion and a new detective that will lead the Department’s detectives division.

Officer Dustin McCloud will be promoted officially on January 16 to the rank of sergeant in the patrol division. McCloud has been with Cameron PD since 2011 and is currently the Assistant Supervisor on the Tri-County Regional SWAT Team and is the Cameron Police firearms instructor.

Chief Rick Bashor also announced that Sergeant Dan Miller is making a lateral move within the department from the patrol division to become a Detective-Sergeant and being charge of the Department’s Detective Division. Miller has been with the department since 2004 and has served as a detective before moving into the patrol division and being promoted to sergeant.
