Captain Skoglund Appointed Commanding Officer of MSHP Troop H

ST. JOSEPH, MO – Colonel Eric T. Olson, superintendent of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, announced that Lieutenant Shawn P. Skoglund is being promoted to captain and designated commanding officer of Troop H located in St. Joseph.

Skoglund joined the Patrol in 1995 and was assigned to Troop B in Randolph County. He transferred to Troop H and was assigned to Nodaway County in 1998, later serving in Holt, Atchison and Livingston counties before promoted to lieutenant and became a member of the Troop H Command Staff in 2014.

Captain Skoglund graduated from Nodaway-Holt R-VII High School in Graham. He and his wife Shannon (Galbreath) have two daughters.
