Carrollton State Lawmaker Wants to Ensure All Residents in Northern Missouri are Counted

While a northern Missouri state lawmaker is pleased that the U-S Census Bureau will continue its count through the end of October, she worries some hard-to-reach residents may not be counted.

Carrollton State Representative Peggy McGaugh lives in Congressman Sam Graves’ district, which has 36 counties and is larger than nine states.

The 2020 Census aims to count every person living in the United States and five U-S territories.

McGaugh serves on the complete count committee, which works to ensure an accurate count of everyone living in Missouri to secure federal funding and fair representation for Missourians during the next decade.
